PRODUCT PASSPORT

Obligation to establish before placing on the market. By creating a product passport, the manufacturer assumes responsibility for the compliance of the detergent or surfactant with this Regulation. 

Requirements: 

  • Corresponds to the specific batch. 
  • State that the product complies with the requirements laid down in this Regulation, indicating, where appropriate, the test methods used. 
  • Contain at least the information listed in Annex VI of the Regulation. 
  • Up to date. 
  • Drawn up in the language required by the Member State in which the product is placed on the market. 
  • Available for a period of 10 years after the product has been placed on the market 
  • Meet the specific and technical requirements under this Regulation. 
  • Accessible via a data carrier. 
  • The data carrier must be physically present on the packaging or accompanying documentation. 
  • The data carrier must be clearly visible. 
  • Where products are made available on the market in the form of a filling, the data carrier shall be present at the filling station. 
  • A statement ‘More comprehensive product information is available online’ or a similar statement on the data carrier.

 

REGISTER OF PRODUCT PASSPORTS 

The manufacturer or authorised body shall upload pre-market data to the register. 

The Commission, market surveillance authorities and customs authorities shall have access to the register.
