ECHA officially published the updated CoRAP for 2026-2028, which covers the evaluation of 27 chemical substances in the coming years.
In March, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published the updated Community Rolling Plan for Substance Evaluation (CoRAP) for 2026-2028, identifying priority substances for evaluation under the REACH substance evaluation procedure.
The evaluation of chemical substances and their properties is based on Articles 44-48 of the REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006. The aim is to gather information on substances suspected of posing a risk to health or the environment. Listing a substance in CORAP does not imply a ban, but is often the first step towards further regulatory action, such as assigning a harmonized classification, restrictions on the use of the substance, or inclusion on the SVHC Candidate List. The updated CoRAP for 2026-2028 includes 27 substances. Seventeen of these will be assessed in 2026, nine in 2027, and one in 2028.
The full list is available in the draft Community Rolling Plan (CoRAP) for 2026-2028 and includes the substance identifier and the potential hazard to be assessed.
